Basic Oil Painting for ages 18+ will be held at Yellow Springs Community Library on Wed., Nov 7, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Yellow Springs artist Christine Klinger will teach you the basics of oil painting. Subjects covered include composition, value, and light, as well as tools and materials, basic color theory, and the nature of traditional and water-mixable oils. All materials provided, but feel free to bring in a few simple items to make your own personal still life and/or photographs, magazines, or books showing simple landscapes you would like to paint. Although some basic painting or drawing skills are helpful, all levels are welcome. Registration required. Call 352-4003.
