We’re pleased to welcome Clara Polito, author of Clara Cakes: Delicious and Simple Vegan Desserts for Everyone! to Antioch College for dinner pop-ups and a vegan cooking workshop and tea party. 

Clara Polito is a twenty year old author and self made business person. She started baking when she was twelve years old, shortly after becoming vegan. She’d present her latest creations at shows throughout Los Angeles, eventually gaining customers and attention and fulfilling the taste buds of everyone from punks to lawyers uniting them one sweet tooth at a time. 

Clara wrote her first cookbook, Clara Cakes: Delicious and Simple Vegan Desserts for Everyone!, this year through powerHouse Books. With an emphasis on accessibility in mind, the cookbook contains Clara’s go-to-desserts that impress non-vegans and vegans alike. 

In addition to the cookbook, Clara has written for Teen Vogue, Tastemade, Domino Mag, Marie Claire, and more. She’s hosted pop-up brunches and dinners in Detroit, LA, Las Vegas, New York, and counting. 

Clara will be cooking Italian cuisine for her pop-ups in addition to her specialty desserts.
