Registration for the 6th Annual

Earth Week 5k/10K Run/Walk has begun!

Celebrate Earth Day by running or walking the trails, fire road, and meadows within Glen Helen.

Be an Empress of the Earth, a Warrior for Wildlife, a Captain of Conservation! All participants are encouraged to dress as Superheroes of Nature. Use your imagination or come in costume as your favorite superhero.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the preservation of our 1000-acre nature preserve and our year-round environmental education programming.

Date: Sunday, April 23rd, 2017.  Event starts at 10 am, rain or shine

Price: 5k $25 / 10k $30. Day of Race, $35

Location: Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center, 1075 State Route 343, Yellow Springs, Ohio. Race takes place on trails within Glen Helen.

Parking: Follow signs in the Village of Yellow Springs to parking locations and catch the shuttle to the race area. Carpooling is encouraged. If in the area, please consider biking or hiking to the Outdoor Education Center. A bike corral and bag check will be available to participants. 

Shuttle: A shuttle bus will run continuously between the parking locations and the Outdoor Education Center for your convenience. The first shuttle departs at 7 am, the last shuttle to the race departs at 9 am. Return shuttles will run continuously after the awards ceremony, approximately noon to 2pm.

Race Day Registration: While we urge you to advance register online for the discounted rate, race day registration is available onsite for $35. Cash (only) will be accepted for walk-in registration. Please note— the only way to guarantee you will receive a t-shirt is to register online, by April 1st!
 

Awards: Awards will be given to top Male/Female winners in age groups from 10 and under to 70 and over (must be a registered participant). The overall male/female will receive a Glen Helen gift in addition to their award.

Inclement Weather Notice: Weather-related updates will be shared on our website at www.glenhelen.org, and through participant email. In the event of thunder or heavy rain, the race may be delayed, with participants invited to spend the time inside our Lodge. Should thunder persist for more than 2 hours, we will cancel the run. Because this is a non-profit fundraiser, there are no refunds. We thank you for the charitable gift.  

Food: Complimentary snacks will be available for registered 5k and 10k runners/walkers.
