Living on the Land Writing Workshops

“Living on the Land” Essay Contest in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Tecumseh Land Trust
Tecumseh Land Trust and WYSO (91.3 FM) radio are co-sponsoring a contest for writers to reflect personally on the theme, “Living on the Land.” Submission is free. Deadline is December 15, 2014. Winners will be selected in three categories — Middle School (6th-8th grades), High School and Adult — and notified by mid-February 2015.
 
“Living on the Land” Writing Workshops
In conjunction with the essay contest, a series of optional, free, one-hour workshops will be presented by professional writers and instructors to help participants compose competitive entries. 
Workshop dates and venues include:
 
September 28, 2-3 p.m.: Glen Helen Vernet Ecological Center, 405 Corry Street, Yellow Springs
October 1, 7-8 p.m.: WYSO studios, 150 E. South College Street, Yellow Springs
October 18, 2-3 p.m.: Blue Jacket Books, 30 S. Detroit Street, Xenia
October 25, 2-3 p.m.: Xenia Public Library, 76 E. Market Street, Xenia
Nov. 1, 2-3 p.m.: Antioch College, Coretta Scott King Center, Yellow Springs
Nov. 8, 2-3 p.m.: Clark County Public Library, 201 S. Fountain Avenue, Springfield
