Spend a Sunday morning, walking in Yellow Springs with your sketch book, pen/pencil/watercolors and a group of other artists. We’ll stop 4-6 times to do quick sketches of public art.
At 11 am, we’ll meet at the YSAC Gallery, 100 Corry St. in Yellow Springs, for coffee/tea and muffins and a peek at the show that will be up at the Gallery. If you want to warm up-there will be time to do a quick sketch of the other artists or the gallery art.

Around 11:30, we’ll hand out the “Public Art in Yellow Springs Guide” and take off. We’ll go tour 4-6 pieces of public art in the village, with historical highlights about each piece. At each stop there will be a short talk, some from the artist, while you find your spot and then 15 minutes to sketch the art. We will end at the YS Brewery at 1 pm, for conversation, a brew and sharing our sketch books. If you want to get lunch the Brewery has a cheese platter and other snacks for purchase or you can order pizza delivered from Bentino’s.
The Sketch Crawl is Free for YS Arts Council members. There is a $10.00 donation for non members to help support the Arts Council. Or better yet join instead!
