Understanding Islam for ages 18+ will be held at Yellow Springs Community Library on Sat., May 5, from 3-4 p.m. Dr. Khurshid Ahmad will talk about these topics: Is Islam a Religion of Peace? The True Meaning of Jehad, Should we be Afraid of Sharia?, and The Mess in Middle East—Conflict of Civilization or Conflict of Interest? There will be time for questions. Dr. Ahmad is chair of the board of trustees of the Dayton International Peace Museum, Professor Emeritus at Wright State University, and former president of the Interfaith Forum of Greater Dayton.
