Yellow Springs 2018 Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Program

The 2018 Yellow Springs Martin Luther King Day program, “The Courage to Take a Stand,” will take place on Monday, January 15th (MLK’s actual birthday) at 11am at the John Bryan Center Gym, 100 Dayton Street. The program will include presentations by The World House Choir, Bahai Youth Dancers, Local Poets, Peacemaker Essays by Yellow Springs Youth, and the Annual Community Peacemaker Award. The program will be followed by a free soup lunch. Childcare will be provided. The program will be preceded by the following activities:

Sunday, January 14th, 2pm-4pm Teach-in and Sign-Painting Session, First Presbyterian Church, 314 Xenia Ave., all ages welcome.

Monday, January 15th 9am-9:45am, Reflections and Readings on this year’s YS theme, “The Courage to Take a Stand”, The Coretta Scott King Center, Livermore and E. Center College Streets.

Monday, January 15th, 10am- Gather for MLK Peace March, Public parking lot at Xenia Ave. and Corry St., 10:15am step off
