The Art House-Hop is a wonderfully relaxed way to see beautiful art in private collections. This year three of the homes on the Hop also include an invitation to explore their gardens.   Discover “Challenger” a rearing, outdoor Horse Sculpture and tucked in another flower-filled garden is a hand crafted stone wall.

Libby and Dan Rudolf ‘s home is surrounded by Glen Helen.  Libby is an artist who creates charming watercolors.  In their home is an enchanting 2 story garden room with a saguaro, orchids, orange trees and frogs.  Throughout their home art takes a central place.

The stop on the Hop called “The Tree House” was built by Artist Bruce Parker and is filled with colorful handmade quilts, whimsical creations from found objects and unique handcrafted furniture.

Another of the Hosts, a ceramic artist,  fell in love with Mexican Pottery while living there in the 70’s. She has a large, colorful collection from the 1920’s of  Pottery and  Folk Art, including gourds, textiles and paper mache.

The art collections include ceramic art, sculptures, prints, paintings, mixed media pieces, quilts, hand crafted furniture, Folk Art, Western Art, and Native American Art.   They are from around the world as well as by many local artists.   The hosts traveled to and brought back art from Brazil, Sicily, France, Japan, India, Tanzania, Mexico and all across America. 

The 2017 Art House Hop features 6 different Art Collections and 3 Gardens.

The most common feedback from guests who have gone on the Hop, is that they speak about the friendly welcome and the joy the Hosts express in sharing their art. 

The Art House Hop is a self guided tour. You can go to any Collector’s Home on the tour, in any order you want. A car or bike is suggested as the homes are scattered throughout Yellow Springs.

Art House Hop takes place June 25th from noon-5 p.m.  

Tickets are $15.00.  Children through age 12 are free. 

When you purchase a ticket to the Art House Hop you get a brochure with a description of each collection, addresses and a map.
