New venue, new course, same great cause!

The 2nd Annual Yellow Springs 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Antioch College commemorates the 343 FDNY Firefighters murdered on 9/11/01. Participants will climb the equivalent of 110 stories. Funds raised will go to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to support families whose loved ones have died in the line of duty.

The 2nd Annual Yellow Springs 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Antioch College is a way to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on 9-11-2001. Each participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Your individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of an FDNY brother, but symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others. Through firefighter and community participation we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters is honored and that the world knows that we will never forget.

The Stair Climb benefits the FDNY CSU and the programs provided by the NFFF to support the families of our nation’s fallen firefighters.

Our event, one of many around the nation, and the only one in Ohio, is a tribute to the fallen FDNY firefighters murdered on 9/11 and serves as a fundraiser for the National Fallen Firefighter’s Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization. During a stair climb, firefighters and members of the public climb the equivalent of 110 stories to honor the fallen.

It would be great to have representation from departments across the Miami Valley! But you don’t have to be a firefighter to participate…everyone is welcome to climb and honor the fallen. And it’s all to benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the important work they do.
