The July Arts Alive! FUNdraiser will be held on Saturday, July 12th, 2014 at the outdoor courtyard of the Yellow Springs Arts Council Community Gallery (111 Corry Street, Yellow Springs, OH 45387) from 6:30 to 10:00. This evening will feature comedians, Dwight McCormick and Carla Goldbusch starting at 7:00 pm followed by a Motown Dance Party with Yellow Springs DJ, Clean Gene. There will be kids crafts, refreshments and a YS Brewery Beer Garden. 

Dwight McCormick is a full-time Presbyterian Church pastor serving a congregation in Springfield, Ohio. He performs clean comedy with themes including church, being a dad, a husband, and racial humor.

Carla Goldbusch was raised in Cincinnati, the youngest of six. She wrote her “Bucket List” during the crashing economy of 2009 and discovered comedy was the only thing that she could afford to do. Armed with a dream and a New Year’s resolution she disgraced the stage at “Go Bananas” in Cincinnati and changed her whole career path. Carla is a winner of the Dayton Funnybone’s “Clash of the Comics” and is the reigning second funniest woman in Louisville. She is also a featured comic on Rooftop Comedy. Carla has worked with Vince Morris, Saleem, and Lisa Landry. Keep your eye on this up and coming comedian. Her point of view is often surprising and always funny!
