Antioch College is considering developing sustainable, multigenerational housing on its campus. The working name for this new development is Antioch College Village. A charrette is planned for March 1–5 to discuss design ideas and develop a vision and master plan.
During the charrette week, the design team will hold several small group discussions on special topics at the studio. These conversations will allow the team to ask questions and hear your ideas about the Antioch College Village first-hand.

What is a charrette? Charrette has come to describe a rapid, intensive, and creative work session in which a team focuses on a particular design problem and arrives at a collaborative solution. Charrettes are formatted to encourage the exchange of dialogue, allowing residents, stakeholders, and designers to brainstorm on new ideas and evaluate multiple options.
The Antioch College Village charrette will kick off with an interactive, public hands-on design workshop on March 1. The design team will then set up a studio on site where they will work rapidly to synthesize input, draw ideas and create a draft vision and plan. The studio will be open to the public throughout the week for drop-in discussions. Another public session will occur on March 5 where participants review the draft ideas and give their feedback.
