Village Artisans Gallery in Yellow Springs, OH, is hosting “Drama in Purple” – A Village Artisans Members Art Show – in their Lobby Gallery, June 27 through August 12, 2019, during regular gallery hours. An Artists’ Reception will be held Friday, July 19, from 6-9 pm. Both the exhibit and the reception are free and open to the public.   The color purple is made by mixing blue and red although because of its rarity in nature it has been associated with royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition. Purple can also represent extravagance, creativity, wisdom, grandeur, devotion, mystery, and magic. The members of Village Artisans are featuring their dramatic works that use the color purple and its shades of lavender, lilac, violet, plum, and eggplant.   About Village Artisans: Village Artisans is a cooperative art gallery in Yellow Springs featuring locally-made, affordable hand crafted jewelry, woodworking, pottery, photography, paintings, drawings, fiber, glass, and mixed media art.
