Location: Workshops take place in Cedarville, OH just outside Yellow Springs

Join us for a series of workshops in which you can get some real “hands on” experience building an Earthship-like structure here in Central Ohio. The idea behind these workshops is that you will learn the basic skills necessary to construct an Earthship. Between the workshops, owners Lauren and Zac will host “work days” to help the project along. The goal is to have the entire home under roof by the end of the summer. The first one is a “tire foundation” workshop on April 12-13th and the cost of $35 covers breakfast and lunch both workshop days. The short explanation is that it is a passive solar home constructed of natural and recyclable materials (bottles, tires, earth).

Saturday, April 12 and Sunday April 13 — Tire Foundation
Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 — Framing an Earthship
Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8 — Straw Bale Walls
Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29 — Earth Plastering & Bottle Wall Construction

Fee: $35 per person per workshop weekend
The cost includes breakfast and lunch each day (meat lover and veggie friendly). Camping available for those interested.
