The Yellow Springs Odd Fellows 279 is again sponsoring the Yellow Springs 4th of July Parade.

Date: Friday, July 4
Location: Downtown Yellow Springs

The parade start time is tentatively 3 PM and lasts an hour or so. The Lodge is requesting additional volunteer street marshals to stop traffic for the parade as it moves down Xenia Ave. and Corry St. Please call Bob Hasser at 937-736-2030 {yes, he is the older brother of Greg, the barber} to volunteer to be a street marshal for this parade. Bob will coordinate with volunteers so they are provided a safety vest and provided additional instructions at 2:15 PM. We appreciate community support and participation with the parade.

NOTE: Parade will leave Friends Care Community at 3 p.m. Line up should start at 2 p.m. 

Yellow Springs Fireworks.

The Odd Fellows Lodge has taken the initiative for the Gaunt Park fireworks from the Lions Club effective this summer. We look forward to successful fireworks display on Friday, the 4th Of July ! We will have our Brats and hotdogs stand where you can refresh yourself with food and drink at reasonable prices.

Community Band will play a concert at 8 PM at Gaunt Park. In case of rain, Community Band will play at Mills Lawn Elementary School on July 4th around 8 PM.

Also, Gaunt Park Pool will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and re-open from 10:00 pm – midnight for the midnight swim. The fireworks are scheduled for 10:00 p.m.
