Guided Public Walk
July 10 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Tecumseh Land Trust (TLT) will hold a guided public walk at the Mt. Saint John Nature Preserve in Beavercreek at 11 AM, July 10, 2021. Enter the Mt. St. John property at 4435 E. Patterson Road, Dayton, OH, 45430 and follow the signs to parking and the starting point for the walk. The walk will take approximately one hour. All attendees should be fully vaccinated or wear a mask.
Tecumseh Land Trust is proud to have permanently protected this special nature preserve, in partnership with the Marianist Environmental Education Center (MEEC), using funding from the Clean Ohio Green Space Fund. The 66 acre preserve is populated with native prairie and woodland plants and offers a glimpse of pristine Ohio plant diversity, not far away from busy Beavercreek. The property is open to the public during daylight hours, and a variety of educational programs and volunteer opportunities are available through MEEC. Find out more about their programming and history at https://meec.center.
On July 10, MEEC staff will guide the walk of the property and TLT staff and volunteers will be available to provide information about opportunities for other private landowners to protect their high quality natural and agricultural land. Tecumseh Land Trust has protected 34,000 acres and 44 stream miles in the area, guaranteeing the benefit of special land and water resources for future generations.
