|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 8:30 am, repeating until June 7, 2016

Yellow Springs, OH – Antioch University Midwest will be hosting renowned, dynamic speaker, and experienced teacher, Ann Anzalone, as part of The Educational Leaders Seminar Series at Antioch this June. For the past 30 years Ms. Anzalone has conducted workshops for K-12 teachers, administrators and parents, as well as for businesses and corporations.

“I am thrilled to be returning to Antioch University Midwest as a facilitator at ELSSA.  The freedom to explore cutting edge learning in an academic environment is exciting.  The excitement, networking, and time to explore topics that truly make a change in learning are well worth the time spent in class,” says Anzalone.

During her two day session, Learning with the Brain in Mind, Ms. Anzalone will discuss how the key to learning is to empower students to take charge of their own learning; focusing on developing techniques, strategies, and tools to help education leaders optimize learning and communication skills. “Participants will discover the foundations of successful learning experiences and the best exercise to reduce test anxiety, understand the benefits of teaching using five high return, experience how to teach attention skills, and learn how to build glucose stores in the brain to ensure brain health,” says Anzalone.

Since 1992, Antioch University Midwest has offered graduate-level courses for educators wishing to continue their education. Participants have come to appreciate the style of the seminars and interactive environment that honors and respects their experience and contributions in the field.

Registration per session is as follows: full day $75; half day $50. One graduate credit is available for the equivalent of two full day sessions. The cost for one graduate credit is $375.
