Where: All races start and finish on Corry Street in Yellow Springs

With over 300 athletes expected to attend competitive cycling is returning to Yellow Springs in a big way. The Ohio State Road Race Championships will take off on Corry Street and travel on a race course that includes the locally famous “Devil’s Backbone” hill on John Bryan Rd.

After passing John Bryan State Park the course travels through Clifton and returns on Grinnell Rd. before climbing up the Devil’s Backbone and a starting another lap on the 14 mile circuit.

The ability and age of the athletes will determine how many laps of race course they will complete. For example, the high school age boys and girls will complete two laps of the 14 mile circuit, and the Professional racers will complete 6 laps.

After each age or ability race group completes their laps they will return to Yellow Springs via Corry St. The finish line is next to the fire station.

At the finish there will be an expo for cycling and nutritional products with sample give-aways.

The race(s) start at 10:00am and the Professional race starts at 1:30pm and should finish around 4:00pm. There will be an awards ceremony right after the Professional race is completed.

The first wave of races starts at 10:00am with most of those races finishing up around 1:00pm. The second wave of races starts at 1:30pm and will finish around 4:00pm. All of the races start and finish on Corry St.

Corry Street from Xenia St. to Grinnell Rd. will be closed for the duration of the event. There will be detours posted, and you will be able to access Glen Eden Park via Limestone St.
