Come decompress from the voting stress at the Yellow Springs Senior Center on November 9th at 3:00 PM. I will be playing another edge-of-your-seat concert of hits from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. The survey of Bach’s Well-tempered Clavier continues with four preludes and fugues from the latter half of Book I. Shed a tear to Clara Schumann’s heart-aching variations on a theme by her crazy husband. We hear yet another Scriabin Sonata, this time from his exuberant middle period (hype). Also a devilishly tricky show piece by Liszt and the first Beethoven Sonata.
