Walk For A Cure Quarter Auction fundraiser combines the fun of bidding on a diversity of cool objects, services and products with a ‘lucky draw’ component so that many people can participate for a chance to take home something they will enjoy.

The Walk For A Cure Quarter Auction will take place on Saturday, October 3rd from 1-4pm at the John Bryan Community Center Gymnasium. This will be festive, fun-filled event for the entire family with food and other refreshments. Informational booths representing organizations working actively in the fight against breast cancer and on related causes will also be present.

Yellow Springs Village Manager Patti Bates will be participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® 60-mile walk over the course of three days. Her fundraising goal is $5,000.

From Patti Bates: “Researchers are very close to finding a cure for breast cancer, and WE have the ability to Make A Difference! Breast cancer kills too many women and men every year. We have to find a cure. When I did the 3-Day Walk in Phoenix in 2010, I didn’t think I would do another one. I hoped we would have a cure by now, and, as a 25-year survivor, I know firsthand how important that cure is.”
