End-of-Life Forum presents: Anatomical Gift Program

June 9, 2014 @ 7:00 pm

Free

CHANGE OF VENUE:

The End-of-Life Community forum will be meeting tonight (Monday, June 9) at 7:15 pm at the Rockford Chapel on the Antioch campus, at the intersection of Whiteman Street and President Street. You can park on the street near the chapel. Dan Miska of Wright State is the speaker and he will be talking about anatomical donations. We are starting a bit later because of the change of venue, and to allow people to get to the meeting from the YS Senior Center, which was the previously scheduled site.

The guest speaker will be Dan Miska, director of Wright State University’s Anatomical Gift Program, which was established in 1975. Since then, over 21,000 people have donated their remains to the Anatomical Gift Program, and due to their generosity, thousands of medical and nursing students, physicians, medical researchers and others have had the opportunity to learn about the structure and function of the human body. All are invited and comments and questions from the audience are welcome. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Rubin Battino at 767-1854.
