Fun education for young cyclists!

Ages 7-9: June 9-13
Ages 10-14: June 23-27

Come join the Greene County Parks & Trails Sentinels and Park Rangers for a week-long bike camp that features cycling rules, safety, bike trail etiquette and more! Bike camp will be based at Xenia Station, 150 S. Miami Ave., Xenia. All training levels are progressive and each builds on the knowledge/skills gained in the previous level. Bike helmets donated by Children’s Medical Center Family Resource Center may be available to participants based on size and gender. During the week, cyclists will ride a different Greene County paved trail each day with a stop for a brown bag lunch –and a stop at a local ice cream shop, too!

(Participants must know how to ride a bicycle.)

Participants need to provide:

* Money for a visit to an ice cream shop
* Brown bag lunch with non-perishables
* Filled water bottle
* Well-mainted bike (suggest mountain bike/multi-speed bike)
* Helmet and closed-toe shoes required

Proper helmet fitting, night light training and bike inspections included. All instruction/training conducted on a parking lot and on paved multi-use trails. Participants will learn basic handling skills, street/intersection knowledge and practice traffic skills.

Cost: $30 (Greene County Resident)
$40 (Non-Resident)
