A community forum on the two ballot items involving marijuana legalization will convene in the auditorium at Antioch University Midwest on Thursday, October 15, from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Speakers will include Ian James, representing ResponsibleOhio, the group that gathered 306,000 petition signatures to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot legalizing both medical and recreational marijuana. Speaking against that position will be Chris Kershner, vice president for public policy at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, a group actively opposing the legalization initiative.

WYSO and the Yellow Springs News will provide questioners for the panel, joining Laura A. Bischoff from the Columbus bureau of the Dayton Daily News who has written extensively on the marijuana ballot initiatives.

The forum will provide ample opportunity for citizens in the audience to add their questions and express their own points of view.
