Anthony Powers is a right-handed, synesthetic beginner human being that was cultivated with all the love and care in the badlands of Ohio. He is an experienced middle-child, the product of incessant questioning, and a self-declared living art installation. His songs combine elements of storytelling, social commentary, poetics, and the scientific method in a soup of meaning that he intends to be both sustaining and palatable to the listener. He believes that music in general and songwriting in particular is a language sculpture, a temporal construct of physics and concepts which has at its deep center the goal of communication and connection for all people.

In addition to his solo work, Anthony writes for, sings, and plays electric guitar in the Yellow Springs soul-rock band Gin-Soaked Angels, plays electric flying V ukulele in the Dayton-based pneumatic bluegrass band Waterbear Alliance, and plays electric keyboard in another (as yet unnamed) Dayton rock group. He is also a visual artist, a writer of fiction and the non, and would like someday to make it into orbit.

Marianne Kesler has been dubbed “a darling of the folk, coffeehouse and college circuits” for the better part of two decades and “the headbanger’s favorite folk artist”. Kesler has taken her meld of acoustic driven pop/folk/rock music across the United States and the globe. With 6 CD projects and 3 singles to her credit, 2015 finds her in a season of song writing.

Marianne loves to describe her organic vibe as a quirky meeting between her favorite music artists. IMagine, she muses, if Joni Mitchell got together with Leonard Cohen for a writing session at the coffeehouse where Neil Young and the Counting Crows were playing, folk artist Jan Krist was singing, Tori & Fiona were pouting, and Over The Rhine & Aimee Mann opened….Yeah, it sounds something like that!

Marianne posts a monthly blog on creativity on her website and also published a trilogy of poetry/pros/photography books called the say something series.
