Admission is FREE; donations gratefully accepted.
The band will play the infrequently-heard Grande symphonie funèbre et triomphale by Hector Berlioz, which commemorated the victims of the July revolution of 1830 in France. It was his most popular composition during his lifetime. Also on the program, Berlioz’s rousing Hungarian March, and American composer Alfred Reed’s Jubilant Overture.
